Overview
Northfield is a home rule charter city. The City Council is comprised of seven elected officials, including the mayor, who legislate policy and govern the issues related to the City of Northfield. The Mayor is the presiding officer of the council. Of the six council positions, there are four ward representatives and two at-large positions. All terms are four years, with staggered election years. To find what ward you live in, view the City's Ward map or enter your address in the Secretary of State Poll Place Finder.

To make a service request please use the RequestTracker system.  The RequestTracker is a tool that can be used to report your concerns to the City.  It can be used for reporting street lights that are out, potholes, or other concerns.  Requests are monitored from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  For emergency Police response, please contact the Police Department at 9-1-1.
