Development of Surface Water Management Ordinance (2010)
Local Government Collaboration
The waterways that flow through Northfield also flow through Dundas and the neighboring townships. As such, protecting the water quality and ecology of the creeks and river is best achieved through cooperative efforts by these local governing bodies, interested residents, and other organizations. The different types of local government: county; city; and township each focus on different aspects of land use and development and therefore can contribute in unique ways to the protection of local waterways.
Cooperation and collaboration with Bridgewater Township has begun through discussions at Northfield City Council meetings and Township Board meetings. The City will strive to make available presentations or other materials from these meetings through this web site.
