Northfield Trailhead/Transit Hub Project
The City of Northfield received money from the Federal Transity Authority in early 2006 to build a transit hub to provide a connection point for local and regional transity providers. The city selected a site on Laurel Ct. (behind the Walgreens store) so that the facility can also function as a trailhead and parking lot for the Mill Towns Trail.
Information about the project is available from this site.
Project Process
Most construction projects follow a standard procedure. While some dates may change as the project moves forward, the basic order of steps is maintained.
The federal funding involved in this project adds a number of requirements for permitting that the city must fulfill.
See the Project Process page for more details and dates of the project steps.
