Passenger Guidelines

Please limit carry-on packages. Passengers are responsible for carrying and securing their own packages. Northfield Transit is not responsible for items left on buses.

Passengers should be ready 10 minutes prior to their pick-up time and allow 10 minutes of wait time for delays due to weather and traffic conditions. Buses wait up to three minutes before departure. Buses will not wait for passengers who disembark at a bank, post office or other location.

Passengers are requested to cancel trips at least two hours before scheduled pick-up time. Work service passengers must cancel by 4 p.m. on the previous day. Individuals who repeatedly fail to show for scheduled rides will be charged for the missed trips and/or denied service for two weeks.

All passengers are requested to use the seat belts. Northfield Transit strongly encourages that a federally approved car seat be used for young children.

Eating, drinking and open containers are not allowed on the buses. Use of tobacco products is prohibited.

Northfield Transit will not operate if road conditions are deemed unsafe. Announcements will be made on KYMN 1080 AM, local cable access channel and on the City’s web site, www.ci.northfield.mn.us.
