Public Services
The City of Northfield Public Services Department is responsible for planning, programming, design, construction and maintenance of the City’s infrastructure. This includes streets (City Street Base Map), traffic control and street lighting; watermains, wells, and storage tanks; sanitary sewer pipes and treatment plant; storm sewer and ponds; and parks and facilities.
The department consists of five divisions that oversee street infrastructure and construction (including on- and off-street parking), community development, street lighting, sanitary and storm sewer lines, the City’s watermain, and the wastewater treatment facility.
