Home Matters 2.0: Washington Park

Phase 2!

The Northfield Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) and Three Rivers Community Action are now actively recruiting homeowners for Phase 2 of the Home Matters 2.0 Neighborhood Revitalization program.  The pilot project in Veterans Park was a huge success, and funds have been secured to assist ten or more homeowners in the Washington Park neighborhood.

We have assembled financing for the purpose of making home improvements that will stabilize the neighborhood, increase energy efficiency, address health and safety concerns and/or add alternative energy components.

The program provides qualified applicants with:
*Grant funds matching the homeowner’s contribution $2:$1
*Total maximum grant to the homeowner of $10,000
*No-interest loan funds of up to $5,000 are also available for borrower’s contribution.

Funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis to homeowners who meet ALL program guidelines.

Does my home qualify for this program?

Homes must be located within the targeted Washington Park neighborhood in Northfield.  The target neighborhood is the 20 block area south of downtown Northfield.  The neighborhood is bordered by Division Street to the West, Winona Street to the East, 4th Street to the North and Woodley Street to the South.  If your house is yellow on the map below, you may be eligible for this program!
