City Council Vacancy
The Northfield City Council invites persons interested in being appointed to fill a Council Member At-Large vacancy to submit an application to the City Clerk no later than 4 pm on Monday, January 9, 2017.  The term of the appointment will be for one year, January 2017-December 31, 2017.  Additional information can be found in the press release.  Applicants are asked to complete the following documents and return to the City Clerk no later than 4 pm on January 9, 2017:

1.  Application For Council Member At-Large Vacancy
2.  Ethics Disclosure Form

Northfield is a home rule charter city. The City Council is comprised of seven elected officials, including the mayor, who legislate policy and govern the issues related to the City of Northfield. The Mayor is the presiding officer of the council. Of the six council positions, there are four ward representatives and two at-large positions. To make a service request please use the RequestTracker system.  The RequestTracker is a tool that can be used to report your concerns to the City.  It can be used for reporting street lights that are out, potholes, or other concerns.  Requests are monitored from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  For emergency Police response, please contact the Police Department at 9-1-1.
