Using the Library
Library Cards
Library cards are available to residents of southeastern Minnesota who can show identification that includes a current address, such as a Minnesota driver’s license, resident identification card or student ID. (If identification materials do not contain a current address, a bill or tax receipt sent to a current address along with picture identification will suffice.) Children under age 14 may register for library cards with a parent or guardian’s signature.Valid library cards from other libraries in the state of Minnesota may be used at the Northfield Public Library. Contact the library for more information about temporary cards for out-of-state residents.
Report lost or stolen cards immediately to the library. Materials taken out with a lost or stolen card are the responsibility of the card holder until the missing card has been reported. There is a first-time $2 fee to replace a library card.
