Picnic Shelters

Sechler, Oddfellows and Riverside Lions parks have picnic shelters that can be rented by the public between May and October. The charge for a 1-4 hour rental is $40. The charge for an all day rental is $60. For more information, see Parks Rental and Permits.

Park Event Reservation

The City of Northfield requires a reservation for organized, large group events held at any City park. Events must end by 10pm. Reservations must be made at least two months in advance of the event date. A $100 clean-up deposit must be received within seven days of the reservation in order to secure event date and time. Event organizers are responsible for cleaning and disposing of all garbage. The deposit check will be destroyed after an inspection.

Bridge Square Event Reservation

The City of Northfield requires a reservation for organized, large group events held at Bridge Square in downtown Northfield. Proof of insurance is also required. Water Street and Bridge Square Street may be closed; there is a 10-hour advance notice required for no-traffic, no-parking requests. The Police and Fire Departments must approve reservations requesting street closures. Barricades are available from the Street Maintenance Facility. The sponsoring organization is responsible for safety during the event, clean up and any damage or accidents that may occur in conjunction with the event.
