Completed-2009 Riverside Trail
EngineeringThe City is extending the Riverside Trail from its current termination point at the north end of Riverside Lions Park to 5th Street. The trail will follow the east bank of the Cannon River and help to connect cyclist and pedestrian traffic from the new Mill Towns Trail bridge with downtown Northfield.
Construction started in October, 2009 with brush removal, grading, and the installation of footings and a retaining wall. Work on the trail will resume in May, 2010 with expected completion in June, 2010.
