Northwest Booster Station

Description
The City of Northfield’s northwest booster station, located at the intersection of North Avenue and Cedar Avenue, began operation on Wednesday December 13. The purpose of the booster station is to increase water pressure for the water distribution system heading northwest to the Northfield Hospital. Using a series of pumps, the water pressure has increased 35 psi to the hospital. This booster station is also designed to handle additional development in the northwest section of the community.
