The City of Northfield enforces the 2006 International Property Maintenance Code. The maintenance code is designed to ensure the public health, safety, and welfare as it relates to occupancy and maintenance of structures with in the city boundaries. The enforcement policy is based on a complaint driven policy.
The International Property Maintenance Code has requirements for maintenance of the exterior and interior structures, land, and site. The code addresses all properties and lands within the city boundaries.
