Take It to the Box

Take It to the Box Logo

The Rice County community is serious about preventing medication misuse or abuse and environmentally unsafe medication disposal practices. “Take It To The Box” promotes the safe use, storage, and disposal of medication.

Disposal Boxes

Northfield and Faribault police departments provide disposal boxes that are available 24/7. These "drop off" boxes will accept over-the-counter medications, prescription drugs, and animal medications from community members.

In Northfield, bring unneeded medications to the medication disposal box located in the lobby of the Police Department, 1615 Riverview Drive, Northfield, MN.
  • Leave the medicine in its original container.
  • Cross off your name or other personal information.
  • Don't cross off the name of the medication.
See you at The Box!
