Author Visits

- Authors such as Garrison Keillor, William Kent Krueger, Brian Freeman, Lorna Landvik and Mary Sharratt have visited Northfield. Each year the Friends of the Library and the Library Staff engage award-winning writers to present programs at the library. Check the calendar for more information.

Book Discussion Groups

  • During the library renovation the Contemporary Women Writers Book Group will be meeting at All Saints Church, 419 Washington Street, Northfield This group meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 P.M. except December when the group meets at a member's home.   • During the renovation the Science Fiction Book Group will meet at the Hideaway, 421 Division St. This group meets 7-8 PM on the last Monday of every month. Forthcoming book titles are decided one month in advance based on suggestions from the group. E-mail David, check the calendar, or call 645-1803 for details.
  • During the renovation the Mystery book group will be meeting at All Saints Church, 419 Washington Street, Northfield. This group meets from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on the 3rd Monday of each month. Check the calendar or call 645-1802 and ask for Jamie for more details.

Hot Reads for Cold Nights

returns to the Northfield Public Library this winter. During the cold, snowy months of January and February, curl up with some good books and win prizes at the library! Sign up for the Hot Reads program starting Monday, January 7, and read for prizes until Friday, March 1.
