Assessment ProcessThe Assessment process is set to begin at the March 20, 2018 City Council meeting. At that meeting, City Council is scheduled to Declare the Amount to be Assessed, and also Call for the Assessment Hearing. After those required steps are completed, the City of Northfield will mail out a Notice of Assessment Hearing to all property owners that are on the assessment roll along with a copy of the proposed assessment roll. Also included in that mailing will be the Northfield Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) financial assistance program information. This program offers financial assistance to income qualified homeowners. This Assessment Hearing anticipated to be held at the April 17, 2018 City Council meeting. The final step in the assessment process is the adoption of the assessments, which is tentatively scheduled for the May 1, 2018 City Council meeting.
